التعريف :

An ꜤUbaydī IsmāꜤīlī sect that splintered from the MustaꜤlī Dāwūdī Bohra after the death of the absolute dāꜤī, Dāwūd ibn ꜤAjab Shah in 999 AH, 1588 CE. A split occurred because the MustaꜤlīs of Yemen refused the election by a Bohra group of Dāwūd Quṭb as absolute dāꜤī (i.e. vicegerent or unrestricted missionary), electing instead their own dāꜤī, Sulaymān ibn Ḥasan. He was succeeded by his son, JaꜤfar, but JaꜤfar was still young, and his father entrusted him to Muhammad ibn al-Fahd al-Makramī. The beliefs of al-Makārimah are the same as those of the IsmāꜤīlīs. They are an esoteric sect, alleging that Islam has apparent and hidden forms. Thus, they changed the meanings of God’s revelations, interpreting them as suits their creed.
