المعنى الاصطلاحي :
Someone with a strong, loud voice.
الشرح المختصر :
"Sayyit" (loud-voiced): It is preferable that the one who calls the azan be "sayyit", since it is more effective in notifying the people and encouraging them to respond. It is disliked for a person with an ugly voice to call the azan, or melodize it. The purpose of the azan is to inform people that the time for prayer is due; a task that is better assigned to a "sayyit".
