purity of devotion (الإِخْلاَص)

التعريف :
To ensure that one’s worship is free of any trace of associating partners with God, hypocrisy and pretence, offering it purely for God’s sake.
المعنى الاصطلاحي :
Saying or doing things only and exclusively for the sake of Allah; it is the opposite of "riyā’" (showing off).
التعريف اللغوي المختصر :
"Ikhlās": purity, filtration, refinement, selection. The term was later used to refer to pure monotheism and avoidance of showing off in performing acts of worship.
