الشرح المختصر :

An-Nusayriyyah (an esoteric sect) is one of the worst and most deviant esoteric groups. It is attributed to Abu Shu`ayb Muhammad ibn Nusayr al-Numayri, who died in 270 A.H. Its origins go back to Maymoon al-Qaddaah Ad-Daysaani, a Jewish Persian who sought to destroy Islam and restore the former glory of Persia. This group claims to be an Alawite sect affiliated to the supporters of `Ali ibn Abi Taalib. They came to call themselves by this name in a bid to disguise themselves and cover their dark history. This group, among other things, ascribed divinity to `Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, believed in reincarnation, made incest and other prohibitions permissible. Remnants of them still exist in Syria, specifically between Homs, Latakia, and Aleppo, and in northern Aleppo.
