المعنى الاصطلاحي :
Father and forefathers to whom one's lineage is related.
الشرح المختصر :
"Ᾱbā’" (male ancestors) are the males through whom one is begotten either directly, meaning the father, or indirectly, like the parental or maternal grandfathers of all degrees, or great grandfathers, etc.
التعريف اللغوي المختصر :
"Ᾱbā’" (sing. abb): fathers. It is used to refer to any male through whom another one of the same species is begotten. Original meaning of "ubuwwah": upbringing. Other meanings: grandfathers and paternal uncles.
