التعريف

A principal fiqh rule which seeks to determine the verdict on things and deeds prior to Islam, or after it has been revealed if such things or deeds are not subject to a verdict, or if their verdict is unknown: is such thing permissible? Is it acceptable until a prohibition is confirmed? Is it forbidden? Or is it neutral and cannot be given any of these rulings? The majority of scholars say that the original status concerning such matters is that they are permissible.
