It is a description of the devil, who retreats and goes away when Allah's name is mentioned and refrains from casting doubts and evil desires in the heart.
"Khannās" (retreating/shrinking devil): The devil usually whispers into the heart of Allah's slaves when he neglects or forgets the remembrance of Allah, the Almighty. As soon as he mentions Allah's name, the devil retreats and draws back from him, stops whispering, turns away, and shrinks until he becomes as small as a fly.
"Khannās": the one who retreats the most. Derived from "khanasa", which means someone who is often delayed. Other meanings: drawing back, shrinking.
