Buyer’s right to cancel or continue the sale contract of an animal if the seller deceived him by falsely showing that the animal produces a large amount of milk.
"Khiyār-ut-tasriyah" (contract annulment choice) is the established right of the buyer to annul the sale and return the animal that was subjected to "tasriyah" or to continue the sale and verify it by keeping the animal. "Tasriyah" means tying the animal’s udder to retain the milk therein so that it appears large in amount, refraining from milking it for some time until its udder is full, or keeping its suckling away for some time before selling it so that its udder is swollen with milk. The "tasriyah" of the animal is a defect that grants the buyer the contract annulment choice since it involves cheating and deception. This applies to all animals that are normally kept for their milk production. So the one who buys such an animal has the choice, after milking it, either to keep it or to give it back to the seller along with a "sā‘" (3 kg in volume) of dates.
