An Indian religious group that calls to a new religion, allegedly a mixture of Islam and Hinduism.
الشرح المختصر :
"Seekh" (Sikhs) are the adherents of Sikhism, which originated from Hinduism and Brahma’s religion. The word "seekh" literally means a ‘disciple’ or a ‘follower’, as Sikhs are the followers of ten gurus, or spiritual teachers. The "Seekh" represent an Indian religious community that appeared at the end of the 15th century and the beginning of the 16th century. Founded by Nanak, the first Guru, or teacher, Sikhism emerged as a new religion which allegedly combines some teachings of Islam and Hinduism under the slogan: "Neither Hindus nor Muslims". The fundamental beliefs of Sikhism include faith in one creator, unity, equality of all humankind, and prohibition of idolatry. They also permit drinking alcohol and eating pork and prohibit the consumption of cow meat, keeping in line with Hinduism. They also have a holy city where they hold their important meetings: Amritsar, which is located in the Indian state of Punjab.
