المعنى الاصطلاحي
Anything that grieves man and causes harm to him, whether related to worldly affairs or the Hereafter.
الشرح المختصر
"Soo" (evil) is everything that brings about sadness and distress. It could be something related to worldly affairs, such as affliction in oneself or one's property or offspring, or to the Hereafter, such as missing an act of worship or committing a sin.
التعريف اللغوي المختصر
"Soo’": Evil, corruption, and what is disliked. Original meaning: ugliness. Any thing that is disliked is "soo’". Opposite: "husn" (beauty). Other meanings: sadness, distress.
