All types of intercessions that will be exclusive to our Prophet Muhammad, may Allah"s peace and blessings be upon him, on the Day of Resurrection.
"Shafa‘āt an-Nabi" (the Prophet"s intercessions) is when the Prophet, may Allah"s peace and blessings be upon him, requests a favor from Allah for one of the human beings in the Hereafter. The Prophet, may Allah"s peace and blessings be upon him, is granted four intercessions, some are general while others are specific: 1. The greatest intercession is that Prophet Muhammad, may Allah"s peace and blessings be upon him, will request Allah to start the judgment, so the people in the gathering place may have a rest from standing. This is called a "Al-Maqām al-Mahmood" (praiseworthy position). 2. The Prophet"s intercession to eanble the people of Paradise to enter it. 3. The Prophet"s intercession to lighten the punishment for his uncle Abu Tālib. These were the Prophet’s three specific intercession. 4. The intercession for the Muslims destined to enter Hell. The Prophet, may Allah"s peace and blessings be upon him, will intercede for those who deserve Hell not to enter it. Likewise, he will intercede for those who have entered it to be taken out. This is the Prophet’s general intercession and it is also granted to other prophets and righteous people. For the fulfillment of these intercessions, two conditions must be met: 1. Having permission from Allah 2. Allah being pleased with the one asking for the intercession and the one being interceded for, except in the case of lightening Abu Tālib"s punishment.
