Dissension (شقاق)

المعنى الاصطلاحي :
Separation from the mainstream Muslims and opposition to the truth.
الشرح المختصر :
“Shiqāq” (dissension) is opposing and turning away from the truth and showing hostility to it. It is also used in the sense of causing disunity among the Muslims and deserting them and the ruler they follow unanimously.
التعريف اللغوي المختصر :
“Shiqāq”: dissension, animosity between two parties, separation from the group. Derived from “shaqq”, which means to sow dissension.
