الغفور
كلمة (غفور) في اللغة صيغة مبالغة على وزن (فَعول) نحو: شَكور، رؤوف،...
It is to change the shape of images to the point that they no longer resemble the creation of Allah, the Almighty.
"At-tams", or effacement, means changing the shape of images to the point that they are no longer in their (original) state. It differs according to the nature of the image. That is, the effacement of a colored image is by adding another color to it so as to remove its distinguishing features. The effacement of a sculpture is by making additional carvings over it, and the effacement of something in a human shape is by breaking its head. Effacement of an image does not mean to draw a line on the neck of the image, thus becoming like a neckband! Rather, effacement is to remove the head, either by cutting it off, or by soiling it and completely hiding it.
"At-tams" means removal and elimination of trace. It can also refer to the case when the light of a body disappears. Other meanings of the term include distortion, blindness, and corruption of the heart.
