الشرح المختصر
The difference between "ratq" and "‘afal" is that the former is congenital, while the latter occurs after giving birth. The difference between "‘afal" and "qaran" is that the former is flesh, whereas the latter is either flesh, or bone, or otherwise. Some of the scholars of Islamic jurisprudence described "‘afal" as foam in the woman"s vagina that inhibits sexual pleasure.
