Cutting a blood vessel so as to let blood come out for the purpose of medical treatment.
"Fasd" (bloodletting) is a means for treatment and protection against sicknesses. It is done by making a cut in a vein with a needle or the like to let an amount of blood come out of one of the parts of the body. It may be resorted to either because of the overabundance of blood, or because the blood is of a poor quality. Bloodletting resembles present-day blood donation.
