Water, a characteristic of which (i.e, smell, taste, or color) has changed by something impure falling into it.
"Mā’ najis" (impure water) is the water with which something impure was mixed and consequently one of its characteristics was altered. It either acquires the taste of the impurity, its color, or its smell; or two of these characteristics; or all of the three. In this case, the water is considered "najis" (impure), whether the amount of water is small or large.
