"Mubāra’ah" (mutual divorce agreement) takes place when a man divorces his wife, based on her request most probably, in return for a financial compensation that she gives to the husband, or in return for giving up her financial right(s) upon her husband, such as her deferred part of the dowry, the alimony which she deserves during her post-divorce waiting period, or similar rights.
"Mubāra’ah": mutual separation and release from obligation, such as the husband's agreement with his wife on divorce or absolving someone of a right owed to oneself.
