admission (الإِقْرَارُ)

التعريف :
The case of a person admitting that someone else is entitled to something from him.
المعنى الاصطلاحي :
Acknowledgement made by a legally responsible person of the right due upon him to another person.
الشرح المختصر :
Iqrār" (Confession/acknowledgment) is a testimony against oneself. It is the best evidence and the strongest proof to substantiate a claim in giving rights to their claimants in order to settle disputes. It takes precedence over the testimony of witnesses; therefore, the judge asks for it before asking for witnesses.
التعريف اللغوي المختصر :
"Iqrār": confession, acknowledgement. Opposite: "johood", "inkār" (deny, repudiate). Derived from "qarr", which means: capability, stability.
