التعريف :
That God gives someone something special to oneself, to the exclusion of others, and one feels happy and reassured with it. It motivates one to do or abandon something.
المعنى الاصطلاحي :
Inspiration that Allah casts into a person's heart to urge him to either do something or avoid it.
الشرح المختصر :
"Ilhaam" (divine inspiration) is a type of inspiration that occurs in some people’s hearts inspiring them to a certain course of action without indication from a verse of the Qur’an or some other kind of proof. It is a special type of revelation and concealed knowledge with which Allah privileges whomever He wills of His servants. Through "ilhaam", the servant acquires special perceptions that help him to choose and decide about matters and to differentiate between good and bad.
