The joints on the back side of the fingers.
الشرح المختصر
"Baraajim" (knuckles) are the joints that appear on the back side of the fingers. Islam encourages to clean and take care of the knuckles, because the Arabs did not use to wash their hands after eating, so dirt used to gather on their knuckles.
