التعريف :
The joints apparent in the middle of the back of fingers, which could attract dirt.
المعنى الاصطلاحي :
The joints on the back side of the fingers.
الشرح المختصر :
"Baraajim" (knuckles) are the joints that appear on the back side of the fingers. Islam encourages to clean and take care of the knuckles, because the Arabs did not use to wash their hands after eating, so dirt used to gather on their knuckles.
التعريف اللغوي المختصر :
"Baraajim" (sing. burjumah): knuckles; the bones of the finger joints on the back side of the fingers.
