"Bayān at-tafseer" (explanatory elucidation): explaining points that involve ambiguity in the speech, such as explaining multi-connotative words, problematic words, words of unspecific indication, or unclear words. 3. "Bayān at-taghyeer" (elucidation by change): changing the implication of speech by abrogation, specification/limitation of general terms, and the like. 4. "Bayān ad-darūrah" (elucidation of necessity): it is a type of "bayān" that is done without the tools of explication, such as remaining silent in a situation of forbidding something.
