Being lenient and deliberate, while seeking to do something, and not being in haste.
"Ta’anni" (deliberation) is one of the virtuous traits that the believer is characterized with. It signifies carefulness and deliberation in managing affairs by doing everything in its due time without harmful delay or undesirable haste. Deliberation has many virtues and is encouraged by Shariah and logic. However, there is a type of deliberation that is blameworthy, which is deliberation in the matters of the Hereafter, which in fact is, laziness and negligence that a Muslim should strive to avoid. It is also not a deliberation to delay and procrastinate in carrying out worldly assignments and duties in order to accomplish them later. Actually, deliberation stands in the middle between slowness and carefulness, and between delay and procrastination. It is management of the affairs according to their due times set by the Shariah.
"Ta’anni": deliberation, reflection. Opposite: "‘Ajalah" (rashness). It is derived from "any", which means slowness and delay. Other meanings: leniency, waiting, slowness, patience, forbearance, solemnity.
To make sure and not to be hasty in judging matters.
