Rubbing a chewed date or the like on a baby's palate so that its sweetness runs down their throat.
الشرح المختصر
"Tahneek" is to chew a date or a similar sweet food until it becomes soft and then rub it in a baby's mouth so that its sweetness runs down into his stomach. It is rubbed on the "hanak", which consists of two spots: the palate, and the lower part of the mouth.
