Placing one or both hands on the middle of the body during prayer.
"Takhassur" (standing with arms akimbo in prayer), or "ikhtisār", occurs when a person puts one or both of his hands on his flank (the area above the hip) during prayer. This posture is disliked during prayer because, according to some scholars, the Jews do so in their prayers.
"Takhassur": putting hands on the "khāsirah", or "khisr", (flank), which is the area above the hips.
