التعريف :


To delay doing something beyond the beginning of one’s ability to the time when it may be missed. This is the opposite of doing it straightaway.

المعنى الاصطلاحي :


The possibility to perform an act of worship at the end of its prescribed time without being blamed for doing so.

التعريف اللغوي المختصر :


"Taraakhi": delaying, being late, taking one's time. Original meaning: softness, smoothness. Opposite: "tadyeeq" (restricting), "israa`" (hastening). Other meanings: expanding, getting farther away, taking matters lightly.
