التعريف :


To abandon something and not to do it.

المعنى الاصطلاحي :


Not doing something despite of being able to do it, whether it be intentionally or unintentionally.

الشرح المختصر :


"Tark" (leaving/abandoning) is to stop oneself from doing an action which is required, such as refraining from performing the obligatory and supererogatory acts of worship which Allah enjoined. An example is "tark as-salāh" is not performing prayer.

التعريف اللغوي المختصر :


"Tark": stopping to do something or turning away from it. Other meanings: giving something up, abandoning, quitting, rejecting, neglecting.
