"Tasarruf" (action with legal consequences) is anything, whether it be a saying or an action, which a person does willingly and leads to a specific consequence under the Shariah, whether this consequence is for the benefit of the doer or not. This includes the statements made by a person, like those indicating sale, gift, endowment, or affirmation of a right. It also includes actions like acquiring permissible things, consuming, and making use of something. This applies both when the statement or action is for the benefit of that person, like selling and hunting, or for someone else's benefit, like endowment and will.
"Tasarruf": action, alternation.
Whatever a person does at his own behest. This is subject to different rulings according to the shariah.
