ikhālah (الإِخَـالَة)

أصول الفقه

التعريف :

One of the ways to identify the reason behind a ruling. It identifies the reason in the matter itself by merely mentioning the occasion understood from the description itself, without it being expressly mentioned. According to some scholars of Uṣūl al-Fiqh it is a synonym of the occasion, but others consider the occasion to be wider than the ikhālah, because it includes what is actually stated and what is deduced.
