Assembling and leading the created beings to stand before Allah for their accounting and recompense.
''Hashr'' (gathering/assembling) means gathering all people, believers and non-believers, from Adam to the last human at the end of time. After resurrection, they will be driven to the place of reckoning, after their life, barefoot, naked, humbled, and fearful. This is the place where people will be waiting for judgment among people. Hashr (gathering) has four occurrences: two in the worldly life, and two in the Hereafter. As for those of the worldly life, they are: 1- The one mentioned in Surat Al-Hashr. It refers to gathering the Jews to the Levant at the time of the Prophet, may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him. 2- Gathering the evil people in the worldly life. A fire will emerge at the end of time, driving them to the Levant by force, so that they will be all gathered there before the Hour. This Fire will accompany them wherever they go at day and night. As for the two of the Hereafter, they are: 1- Gathering all the dead out of their graves after the resurrection and driving them to the land of gathering and reckoning, as Allah Almighty says: {and We will gather them and not leave behind from them anyone.} 2- Gathering the people to Paradise or Hell.
"Hashr": gathering. ''Mahshar'': a gathering place. Other meanings: driving people or things.
Bringing all mankind, after their resurrection from their graves, to the gathering plain where their deeds are reckoned and judgement is given between them.
