المعنى الاصطلاحي
Space that contains and includes something.
الشرح المختصر
"Hayyiz" is the place or space that something occupies and it surrounds it like a body. This word is not used in the Qur’an or the Sunnah in this sense, nor in the Arabic language. If it is meant; above the universe and over it, then it has a sound meaning, because Allah Almighty is separate from His creation and above them.
التعريف اللغوي المختصر
"Hayyiz": boundary, side. The "hayz" of the house, i.e. its sides and boundaries. Derived from "hawz" and "hiyāzah", which mean combining and joining. Other meanings: place, direction.
