Mocking others verbally or physically due to a defect or the like in an offending manner.
"Sukhriyyah" (mockery) is of two types: 1. Verbal mockery, such as calling someone a name that indicates an illness or the like. This is called "lamz". It also includes calling someone by a name that he hates, which is called "tanaabuz bil-alqaab" (calling each other offensive names). 2. Physical mockery, such as making gestures of mockery like pointing towards one's head hinting that a person is crazy. This is called "hamz".
"ِSukhriyyah": mocking, disdaining. Original meaning: servility and submission. Other meanings: disparaging others.
To ridicule others and hold them in contempt.
