doubt (الشَّك)

التعريف :
To hold two alternatives as possible with no preference for either.
المعنى الاصطلاحي :
Being uncertain about one's state of ritual purity, regardless of whether the two possibilities are even or one of them is preponderant.
التعريف اللغوي المختصر :
"Shakk": doubt. Opposite: "yaqeen" (certainty). Other meanings: hesitation.
