التعريف :
Iblīs and his offspring who are created from fire and are by nature given to whispering and tempting, trying to sow discord and cause ruin.
المعنى الاصطلاحي :
Name of the disbelieving Jinn (who is created from fire).
التعريف اللغوي المختصر :
"Shaytān": a generic name for any disbelieving Jinn (created from fire). It is derived from the noun "shatan", which means: remoteness; or derived from the verb "shāta", which means: burnt and destroyed.
