companion of the Prophet (الصَّحَابِي)

التعريف :
Anyone who met the prophet (peace be upon him) believing in him and remained a Muslim until he died.
المعنى الاصطلاحي :
Whoever met the Messenger of Allah, may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him, believing in him and died as a Muslim.
التعريف اللغوي المختصر :
"Sahaabi": companion; derived from "suhbah", which means companionship and escorting.
