المعنى الاصطلاحي :

Validity of an action according to the Shariah, whereby its consequences come into effect.

الشرح المختصر :

The term "sihhah" (validity) is used in Islamic terminology to mean the validity of an action that has two aspects; one of which is in accordance with Shariah while the other is not. So "sihhah" is the aspect that is in accordance with Shariah, whether that action is an act of worship or a transaction. If an action is valid, its legal consequences come into effect. "Sihhah" also means that the action occurred in accordance with the Shariah in terms of fulfilling its pillars, causes, and conditions and the absence of impediments. If an act of worship is valid, then the obligation to perform it has been fulfilled. An example is prayer: it is valid if it is performed according to the Shariah, whereby its consequences come into effect; meaning that the obligation to perform it has been fulfilled and the person is not required to repeat it or make up for it. As for the transactions; its validity means applying the intended rulings pertaining to them. Transactions are valid if their intended consequences come into effect, such as the sale transaction. It is valid if the buyer is given the freedom to dispose of the purchased item as he wishes and benefit of it.
