To write off, overlook and forgo.
المعنى الاصطلاحي :
Forgiveness of a sin and removal of its punishment.
التعريف اللغوي المختصر :
"‘Afw": forgiveness, pardon, refraining from punishment. Original meaning: abandoning, letting go. "‘Afw" was called thus because the punishment is dropped and removed from the guilty person. Other meanings: elimination, effacement, abundance.
