التعريف :


To urinate or defecate.

المعنى الاصطلاحي :


Excretion of urine or feces from the usual or substitute exits

الشرح المختصر :


Answering the call of nature: is discharging urine and feces from the genitals, anus, or another place, such as an opening in the abdominal wall (colostomy). The etiquette of answering the call of nature includes the following: 1- Saying the specified supplications on entering (the restroom) and exiting. 2- Being concealed from other people's sight. 3- Avoiding places that people use (for other purposes), such as roads, shaded areas, etc. 4- Avoiding facing or turning one's back to the Qiblah (direction of prayer). 5- Avoiding taking any material (into the restroom) that contains Allah's name(s). 6- Purifying with water (istinjaa') and stones or tissue (istijmaar) after relieving oneself, and other etiquettes.
