Someone who acts on behalf of a legally interdicted person for the purpose of maintaining the latter's wealth, without having the right to dispose freely of that wealth.
The "qayyim" (trustee/caretaker) is the person appointed by the ruler to execute the will left by someone who did not entrust a particular person with this task. The "qayyim" is also in charge of taking care of those legally incapacitated from among the deceased's children, such as the minors, insane, or weak-minded. He is also responsible for preserving the wealth of missing people who do not have anyone to act on their behalf.
"Qayyim": the person who takes responsibility of a certain matter by maintaining it and looking after it.
Rational and ethical rules and principles a person acquires and learns from the culture of the community. They become the motivating factor of his behaviour and his approach to what he desires.
