writer (الكَاتِب)

التعريف :
- a narrator who writes the hadiths and does not rely on his memorisation.
المعنى الاصطلاحي :
A trustworthy, competent adult who is experienced in the profession of writing and is appointed as a scribe by a judge to write witness records and court adjudications.
التعريف اللغوي المختصر :
"Kātib": a person whose job and profession is writing, whether he is an author or a clerk.
