A set of major Islamic principles and rules that guide to what is right or wrong, permissible or prohibited, in a particular matter, from the perspective of the overall interests of the Muslim community. It has an absolute theoretical authority, and it is considered the source of concepts, intellectual systems and ultimate objectives of the Muslim community.
