An increase in the price of a commodity made by two or more people, so the one who pays the highest price gets the sale contract.
"Muzāyadah" is a sale contract in which the commodity owner offers it for sale and people start bidding against each other for it. The one who offers the highest price buys the commodity. "Muzāyadah" contracts differ based on the subject of the contract; there is bidding for sale, bidding for rent, and others. It is of two categories based on its nature: 1. Optional Auction: such as the common auctions between individuals. 2. Compulsory Auction: such as court-mandated auctions needed by private and public institutions, governmental bodies, and individuals.
"Muzāyadah": competing in outbidding, as people bid against each other on the price of a commodity, thus causing rise to its price. It is derived from "ziyādah" which means: addition, abundance, growth; opposite of of "ziyādah" is "nuqsān": (decrease). Other meanings: outnumbering.
A contract of sale in which bidders are invited by call or writing to attend the auction. The offered article is sold to the highest bidder, and the sale is complete when the seller accepts the bid.
