Resisting the enemy and struggling with them in the battlefield.
"Musābarah" (enduring with patience) is a level of patience. It is of two types: 1. "Musābarah" with an enemy: It is when a fighter remains steadfast during the battle while fighting against the enemy, especially when the battle becomes fierce. He does this by surpassing the enemy in showing patience towards hardships and difficulties. The opposite of "musābarah" is "firār" (fleeing). "Firār" is allowed only if it is part of the maneuver or if one is moving to join another group of soldiers. 2. "Musābarah" with others in general: It is when a person endures unpleasant things that occur between him and others by refraining from seeking revenge against them and by tolerating the bad manners of household members, neighbors, relatives, and others. It also includes striving against the self from falling into sins and to curb its lusts.
"Musābarah": adhering to patience and remaining steadfastly patient. Derived from "sabr", which means withholding and restraining. "Sabr an-nafs": holding oneself back from being impatient and from doing what is inappropriate.
To outbid the enemy in patient endurance.
