وجوب الصلاة وحكم تاركها
‘Amr ibn Shu‘ayb reported from his father, from his grandfather (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Command your children to pray when they are seven years old, and beat them for (not offering) it when they are ten, and separate them in beds." Abu Thurayyah Sabrah ibn Ma‘bad al-Juhani (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Teach the child to pray at the age of seven and beat him for it at the age of ten." In the wording of Abu Dawūd: "Order the child to pray when he reaches seven years old."
عن عمرو بن شعيب، عن أبيه، عن جده -رضي الله عنه- قال: قال رسول الله -صلى الله عليه وسلم-: «مُرُوا أولادَكم بالصلاةِ وهم أَبْنَاءُ سَبْعِ سِنِينَ، واضْرِبُوهُمْ عليها، وهم أَبْنَاءُ عَشْرٍ، وفَرِّقُوا بَيْنَهُمْ في المَضَاجِعِ». وعن أبي ثرية سبرة بن معبد الجهني -رضي الله عنه- قال: قال رسول الله -صلى الله عليه وسلم-: «عَلِّمُوا الصَّبِيَّ الصَّلَاةَ لِسَبْع سِنِينَ، واضْرِبُوهُ عليها ابْنَ عَشْرِ سِنِينَ». ولفظ أبي داود: «مُرُوا الصَّبِيَّ بالصلاةِ إذا بَلَغَ سَبْعَ سِنِينَ».
شرح الحديث :
Teach your children, boys and girls, how to pray, and order them to pray when they reach seven years old, beat them for not praying when they reach ten years old, and separate them in beds
