الأذكار للأمور العارضة
‘Ali ibn Abi Tālib (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The miser is one in whose presence I am mentioned and who does not invoke the blessings of Allah upon me."

The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) described the person before whom the Prophet is mentioned and who hears his name but refrains from invoking the peace and blessings of Allah upon him as stingy. Such a person acts niggardly, failing to observe a right due on him and depriving himself of the tenfold of divine blessings that he would get in return for one invocation of blessings. He is similar to a person who detests generosity so much that he even does not like to be shown generosity. Thus, failure to invoke blessings on the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) is likened to stinginess and refraining from spending money on charitable purposes.
