To reject the equality of two facts. This is the heading of a question of principles of jurisprudence which asks: if equality between two things is rejected, does this imply general difference? Scholars differ, with the ShāfiꜤī and Ḥanbalī schools saying that the difference applies generally. The Ḥanafīs, however, said that it is sufficient that difference occurs in one quality.
