An example of "iftikāk" (releasing) is to free a mortgage from the pawnbroker when the borrower gives him what he owes him.
التعريف اللغوي المختصر :
"Iftikāk": releasing, removing. It is derived from "fakk", which means releasing and setting free. The "fakk" of the slave means freeing him from slavery. Other meanings: separation, opening, relief, dispersion.
