المعنى الاصطلاحي :
A man's close companions (his inner circle), whom he confides in and consults regarding his private and general affairs.
الشرح المختصر :
"Bitānah" (entourage) is one's intimate companions whom he relies upon in all of his affairs and shares his secrets with. Examples: The "bitānah" of a judge are his representatives, aides, and scribes, and those of a ruler are his advisers and ministers. There are two types of "bitānah": 1. Good "bitānah": which consists of pious companions who are trustworthy and God-fearing. 2. Bad "bitānah": which consists of bad companions who are impious and traitorous.
