Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Every important matter that does not start with praise of Allah is devoid of blessing."
The Hadīth indicates that "every important matter" in the sight of the Shariah, like a sermon, an admonition, and advice "that does not start with praise of Allah" in any wording "is devoid of blessing". Although this Hadīth is weak, the practical Sunnah establishes that the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) used to start any affair of his own with praise of Allah, the Almighty.
