التعريف :


The day of judgement when God resurrects all people to reckon their deeds and requite them for what they did in life. It is given this name because there will be no other day. The day means two things: 1) the total end of life; and 2) the beginning of the second life. To believe in the last day is one of the six main beliefs of the Islamic faith.

الشرح المختصر :


"Al-Yawm al-Aakhir" (The Last Day) is the Day of Judgment when people are resurrected for reckoning and recompense. It is thus named because it is the day that has no subsequent days. Belief in the Last Day is to believe in everything mentioned in the Qur'an and the Sunnah about after-death events, including torment and bliss in the grave, resurrection and gathering, the Scales, reckoning, recompense, the Bridge, the Basin, intercession, Paradise and Hell, their states, and arrangements for their dwellers. Belief in the Last Day is also to believe in the signs of the Hour indicating its impending advent.
