A person who is unable to see during nighttime but can see during daytime.
"‘Ashā" (nyctalopia) is a kind of vision impairment that weakens the sight. It could be congenital, or it could be the result of beating, an illness, injury, or so. It makes one see only during the daytime but not at night. It may occur in one eye or both eyes.
"A‘shā": a person who has night blindness; a person with poor vision during the day and night. Opposite: "ajhar" (a person with poor vision during daytime). Derived from "‘ashā", which means lack of clarity, darkness. "‘Ishā’": the beginning of the darkness of the night.
